Electrify Your Strings is a music educational phenomenon that FIRES UP students, teachers, and local communities by injecting a high voltage dose of rock into a school's music education program. The intensive rock and roll workshop for education departments boosts student self esteem and motivation, increases school-wide, family and community engagement, and helps raise money for
participating schools.
This rock concert will feature electric violinist Bridgid Bibbens and the Strongsville City Schools Orchestra Students. Bridgid Bibbens is a classically trained violinist with an extensive music education background. Brigid has performed with major artists in the rock, pop and jazz worlds, such as Christina Aguilera, Mary J Blige, Jay-Z, John Mayer, Alicia Keys, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Gilby Clarke (Guns 'N' Roses), Johnny Colt(the Black Crowes), Josh Groban, Harry Connick, Jr. and Frank Sinatra, Jr. Television appearances include NBC's Today Show, the CBS Early Show, The Late Show with David Letterman, and a special broadcast for New York City's PBS affiliate. She's
played to sold out audiences in major venues throughout the US, including Madison Square Garden and Boston's Banknorth Garden.
Now Bridgid is coming to Strongsville to teach and perform with our students! This show will take place at 6:00PM in the Strongsville High School Auditorium and will feature the following groups:
Sixth Grade Orchestra
Combined Eighth Grade Orchestra
Freshman Orchestra
Strongsville High School String Orchestra
Reserved seating in the lower section of the auditorium will be available only in advance via online purchase.
General admission (non assigned seating) will be in the upper section of the auditorium. General admission tickets are available for online purchase in advance, as print tickets from students, or at the door.
Auditorium doors open for seating at 7:30PM.
Please note there is an early show featuring different orchestral groups. This event is for the second show.
