India and Pakistan Today: The Elephant in the Subcontinent
Although they were "born" within a day of each other in 1947, things have never been too familial between India and Pakistan, where tensions rose dramatically after the November terrorist attacks in Mumbai. Recently returned from six weeks in India and Pakistan, Seattle author Ethan Casey (Alive and Well in Pakistan), Seattle photographer Peter Sabo and publisher Fawad Butt report on relations and attitudes in the two countries that have been intimate adversaries for more than 60 years. As part of their Speaking of Pakistan initiative, the threesome will present a slideshow, grassroots reporting and discussion. Presented by Town Hall Center for Civic Life.
