Running the Set Class with Ted Leonard
This class will explain the basic essential aspects of running a professional film set. He'll discuss techniques for directing actors, casting, prepping and setting extras scheduling a shoot, and what different crew members are expected to do (and not to do). Ted's examples are drawn from professional studio film and television experience but can be applied to any size production to improve its efficiency. This class is for beginner filmmakers and those of you interested in touching up your current Set knowledge.
Ted Leonard's experience in television, and film production spans over 15 years, including extensive experience with field production and on-set production management. His credits include:
- Dozens of commercial, music and corporate media productions - 16 Major Motion Pictures (ex: 8 Mile; Friday Night Lights, The Italian Job, Pursuit of Happyness) - 15 Television Shows (ex: X-Files, Melrose Place, Star Trek Voyager)
Throughout his career he has worked in a variety of positions such as a DGA Trainee, 1st and 2nd Assistant Director, Videographer, Video Editor, Writer, Director, Production Manager and Producer.
