Sausalito Floating Homes Tour
For the 22nd year in a row, Sausalito's colorful floating homes community will open its doors to visitors. The self-guided tour takes visitors inside about 15 of the most unique homes in the world. Docents will also be onboard to describe the unique waterfront lifestyle and answer questions.
The tour begins at the Kappas Marina, on Gate 6 Road off Bridgeway at the northern end of Sausalito, just over the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. Food and soft drinks will be available on the Kappas green. Artists from the community will display their works for sale plus local musical groups will perform throughout the day.
Past tours have attracted over 1,200 visitors from around the country. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
