Voices in Harmony Presents: Jukebox Saturday Night
Voices in Harmony, the award winning men's a cappella chorus returns to the Santa Clara Convention Center. Under the direction of Chris Hébert, the show highlights music through the decades with popular songs by the Beatles and others. In addition to appearances by the chorus's own quartets, the show will feature, for the first time, the exciting Stanford Mendicants, the university's oldest a cappella group.
Note: All ticket prices go up $5 at the door, so buy your tickets in advance!
** ABOUT VOICES IN HARMONY ** Voices in Harmony is a premier, men's a cappella chorus that draws members from all over the San Francisco Bay Area. A chartered chorus of the Barbershop Harmony Society, VIH seeks not only to celebrate and preserve the unique American sound of barbershop harmony, but also to deliver unforgettable performances of a wide variety of musical genres, from jazz, swing, and doo-wop to American standards, pop, and classical. In the Barbershop Harmony Society's international chorus competition, this medal-winning group has finished in the top ten every year it has competed. Voices in Harmony is a 501 (c)(3) organization, self-sustaining through gifts, performance fees, admissions to shows, and sales of recordings and merchandise.
** ABOUT THE STANFORD MENDICANTS *** The Mendicants are 14 guys devoted to performing the best songs of today, yesterday and several decades ago. We pride ourselves on our wide repertoire, all the way from gospel to barbershop, original compositions to jazz standards. You can see us on stage, serenading in stairwells, or even just breaking out into song around campus. And if you can't find us? Just follow the trail of swooning women... We won't be far ahead.
