The Fremont Fireside Chat series, sponsored by HomeStreet Bank, shares stories and details on the culture, people, history and events of the 'Center of the Universe.' This live, free, one-hour presentation will focus on some aspect of Fremont, in an entertaining and educational format.
For August, the Chat will start at History House of Greater Seattle,at the corner of Patches Place and Troll Ave. Heading up the street, learn about this area before the Troll and before the George Washington Bridge soared overhead.
Then,take a rare look around the Fremont Baptist Church - from cupola to sub-basement - and learn about the history of one of Fremont's oldest institutions (est. 1892.)
The Walk will end at with lemonade and cookies, provided by members of the Church. This free, one-hour tour is fun for all ages. For more details, contact instigator@fremocentrist.com
