The Vagina Monologues is celebrating its 11th year as part of the V-Day Campaign launched by playwright Eve Ensler as a vehicle to draw awareness and funding to organizations that help victims of sexual abuse all over the globe.
V-Day Greater Reading is proud to be a part of this mass plea to help women and girls who have been subjected to atrocities we cannot even fathom. Sexual abuse, molestation, female genital mutilation and sexual slavery are realities for many women and girls throughout the world.
Playwright Eve Ensler has compiled these monologues from interviews she conducted all over the world with women and girls who opened up to her about what being female means for them. Some monologues are funny, some inspiring, some upsetting, but all of them are real and they are experienced by more than just the person Eve was talking to at the time.
Help women and girls in Berks County and The Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa by purchasing a ticket to this absolutely astounding show! You will not regret it. This will be one performance that you will tell all of your friends about.
