How to Toon: Art of Cartooning Camp Session B
Session B: For children entering grades 6 - 8 Learn the basics of cartooning with nationally acclaimed cartoonist and storyteller Joe Wos and special guests cartoonist. Students will learn the skills needed to develop compelling characters and stories, from the use of simple line to the incorporation of emotion, costume, props and plot development. Students will explore cartooning in its many mediums and genres including comic strips, editorial cartoons, comic books and animation. Special guests cartoonists, including animators, illustrators and editorial cartoonists will lead presentations throughout the day. All students will receive their own Zoetrope and a copy of the instructional DVD How To Toon. Joe Wos is the resident cartoonist of the Charles M. Schulz Museum, and Executive Director of the ToonSeum, Pittsburghs Museum of Cartoon Art, located in the Children's Museum.
