The program will provide an overview of the process of Quality Control Plan Review of Construction Documents and Specifications at the critical point in the chosen method of project delivery prior to submittal to the governmental approvals agencies and to the general contractors for final bidding and construction.
Learning Objectives: At the end of the course ~
1.)Attendees will have received knowledge of approaches to providing review and coordination of inter-disciplinary Health, Safety and Welfare aspects of projects as expressed and amplified within construction documents and specifications
2.)Attendees will be able to apply the Quality Control Plan Review process to site and building accessibility code conformance
3.)Attendees will be able to address Quality Control Plan Review and coordination activities related to inter-disciplinary project energy design of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
4.)Attendees will be able to approach Quality Control Plan Review of
life safety systems as they relate to building codes and egress design features expressed in the construction documents.
5.)Attendees will be able to provide focus on efficient use of building materials, methods and constructability issues expressed in project construction documentation.

Ernest Stuart, Architect, LEED AP BD+C is principal of Stuart Architecture with over 35 years of practice in Land Use Planning, Architecture, Urban Design and Management. Throughout his career, Mr. Stuart has developed tools for efficiently managing quality control of design and construction documents, and, in conjunction with nationally recognize Architecture and Engineering firms, has spent the past 5 years focused exclusively on the application of Quality Control principles to Design Build and Integrated Project Delivery methods for large scale government contracts.
Through these experiences Mr. Stuart has become a trusted resource to Architects, Engineers and Builders as his expertise is applied to the preparation of final plans for project delivery; ready for construction. He has developed valuable systems, methodology and checklists for applying Quality Control Plan Review and Coordination of all related disciplines in preparation for delivery of projects to the Project Managers for construction. He has also developed an outreach program that blends case studies with practical guidelines to support his vision for enhancing the level of professionalism among Architects, Engineers and the development community. His prime focus is on delivery of accurate and aligned construction documents.
Having specifically adopted state-of-the-art BIM capabilities in order to provide in-depth illustration of all aspects of project interface, Mr. Stuart demonstrates the application of three dimensional visualization and BIM analysis within his Quality Control Plan Review program.
