Marston House Annual Easter Egg Roll!
It is Easter egg time at the Historic Marston House. The Friends of the Marston House will hold its annual Easter Egg Roll on Saturday, April 4th, 2009. The festivities include an Easter egg roll, magic shows, face painting, and magicians, and of course no egg roll would be complete without an Easter egg hunt!
The Egg Roll itself is a race, where children push an egg through the grass with a spoon. Hundreds of children separated into age groups will run, jump, and skip merrily across the lawn in this renewal of the spring rite.
Adults will want to celebrate the occasion further by purchasing a memorable addition to any garden with the geranium hybrid, Geranium George. Created to honor George Marston, civic leader, philanthropist, and historic preservationist, it features beautiful salmon colored blooms, with a touch of rust colored stripes on its leaves.
Each family will also receive one coupon for a free childs ticket to visit the world famous Whaley House Museum, which SOHO operates.
