IMAGOmoves presents: Katie Duck and guests
Katie Duck will perform her solo work Traces of Casualty with music by Alfredo Genovesi.
Katie Duck's practice of improvisation as performance is a reflection of what she believes art in the theatre can only be; live. Since 2009, "Crime and Casualty's" is the title she uses to select her body of work for all of her improvisation performances. For this solo performance, she will be referencing to a film she participated in, "Traces of casualty", by Kage Jong Kag Park (Korean documentary and film maker). In this film project and for her live solo performance, Katie will embody isolation, distress and disorientation in the figure of being homeless with an aim to reflect how our brains have been criminally rewired by media, politicians and the pursuit of opulence, so that we feel less in the face of casualty.
Katie Duck is joined by Liam Clancy, Alicia Peterson Baskel and Yolande Snaith for 'IF', a rare treat of spontaneous group dance composition with a collection of objects.
