WineFest
On May 17, 2014, from 11 am to 5 pm you have an opportunity to taste the wines of ten different wineries including Shade Mountain, Bastress Mountain, Seven Mountains, Benigna's Creek, West Hanover, Sand Castle, Fero Vineyards, Juniata Valley, Armstrong and Red Shale. You must be 21 to purchase tickets and ID's are required. A wine check will be available for your purchases so you can pick it up later. Live music by the Bayou Bandits will be playing in the tent adjacent to the WineFest. Paid tasting attendees will receive a commemorative wine glass. While there, visit the free MayFest portion of the event. It features food vendors, handcrafted art and craft vendors, carriage rides, live entertainment, children's activities, a Maypole for dancing, historic demonstrations such as blacksmithing, a wheelwright, buggy striping. MayFest is from 10 am to 5 pm. The WineFest is on Quarry Road between 4th and 6th Streets, food vendors will be on 5th Street between Quarry Road and Green St., and craft vendors will be on Green Street from 5th to 6th St. The Buggy Museum will host the carriage rides, demonstrations, children's activities and offer 1/2 price admission to the museum that day. Event is held rain or shine. No refunds.
