The spring equinox is the time in the earth's annual cycle around the sun in which day and night are balanced in equal length. The days finally start to get longer after winter's depths of darkness and life springs forth from death. For many different cultures around the planet, it is a time of spiritual resurrection, a season of rebirth and a return to the light.
