Kirk Sutphin & Bert Levy
The duo of Sutphin and Levy is the most unique Southern old-time duo performing today. Their music is deeply rooted in the musical tradition of the Southern Piedmont and combines extraordinary musicianship and innovative arrangements. Although they only met at a festival three years ago, they swing like they have grown up next door to each other. The Sutphin and Levy concerts are filled with hard driving tunes and stories about the old timer's who taught them. Their newly released second album Two Peas in a Pod is an imaginative look at the Round Peak music of Surry County, North Carolina and is the most musically adventurous Round Peak album ever recorded.
