Jesus Christ Superstar Presented by Rock River Repertory Theatre Company

Rock River Repertory Theatre Company presents Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's ground-breaking rock opera, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR changed the face of musical theater when it debuted on Broadway in 1971. Telling the story of the last seven days in the life of Jesus, SUPERSTAR dramatizes Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, the unrest caused by his preaching and popularity, his betrayal by Judas, the trial before Pontius Pilate, and his ultimate crucifixion.

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR features the direction Jim Tropp and music direction of Cindy Blanc. It will be presented April 18-27, 2014 at the Edgerton Performing Arts Center, 200 Elm High Drive, Edgerton, WI 53534. Tickets are available at Edgerton Pharmacy, online, and at the door one hour prior to show time.

Rock River Repertory Theatre Company is led by the artistic talents of Jim Tropp, well known throughout Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois for his consistent presentation of high-quality musical theatre. Mr. Tropp has directed over 80 musicals in his 20-year career. Some of his favorites include: RENT, WEST SIDE STORY, JEKYLL AND HYDE, MISS SAIGON, CABARET, INTO THE WOODS, and NEXT TO NORMAL. Over the past three years, Mr. Tropp has been awarded six Tommy Awards from the Overture Center of the Performing Arts for his outstanding direction and production of area high school musicals.
