WHAT: SCHUBERT: Piano Quintet Op. 114 - The "Trout" Quintet MOZART: Sonata in G Major for Violin and Piano K301
One of Franz Schubert's most beloved pieces, the Trout Quintet was written when the composer was 22 years old, but was oddly not published until a year after his death. Variations on his previous work are spread throughout the piece presenting the breadth of Schubert's musical vision at the time in a shell of sincerity and optimism. Opening the show will be Mozart's lovely Sonata in G Major for Violin and Piano.
Reservations in advance are a MUST. We will be unable to promise a seat to anyone who arrives without a reservation.
