Emmett Till:An American Hero
Tavia Percia and Company presents Emmett Till:An American Hero. This is a short musical about the 14 year old boy from Chicago visiting his uncle in Mississippi in 1955. He was murdered by two white men for whistling at a white woman. Emmett's death was the final straw that ignited the Civil Rights Movement. Our production is made up of youth ages 8 years old to 21 years old. The show is feb1st and feb2nd 2014
