Jaume Torrent Guitar Performs March 23
Jaume Torrent, the famous guitarist and composer from Barcelona, Spain will present a unique and informative concert at the Piedmont Center for the Arts at 801 Magnolia Ave. in Piedmont on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 4:00 pm.
In addition to his compositions, Maestro Torrent has developed a revolutionary method of tone production on the guitar. Whereas most guitarists need amplification to be heard in an auditorium, Torrent's tone needs no such amplification. This is true even when playing in a large auditorium and with a large symphony orchestra. Mr. Torrent will explain his method of tone production and also play a concert of his compositions. The importance of the subject of tone production is not only of interest to guitarists, it will be of importance to all string players.
