Resurrection Men, Kellar & The Cottonettes
We have another great night of music lined up for you!
Headlining are Resurrection Men, a rock band hailing from the post-industrial city of Coventry and they deliver, what can only be described as the most original and innovative live set of any band around today. Refusing to bow down to the fashion of playing songs that sound like every other American, radio friendly rock band, Resurrection Men instead carve out a unique niche for themselves with a three pronged guitar attack where they create a sometimes hypnotic, sometimes challenging, but always memorable set of songs that always win them new friends whenever they perform. Having been amongst Coventry's best bands for a couple of years, and attracting crowds to their gigs that make other bands envious, Resurrection Men are now taking their unique brand of rock to a wider audience. The band is currently recording their first studio album to follow up their previous two EPs. Resurrection Men EP (2009) and Life EP (2010).
Before them we are delighted to welcome back Kellar the Brighton based improvisational noise rock duo, who have a fortunate penchant for playing great live shows!
Opening the night we are thrilled to welcome The Cottonettes. Hailing from the Surrey/Hampshire borders they were formed by Cockney twanged ragamuffin, and hair stylist, Ben Madle, in February 2012. A catalogue of songs about his social observations with a despondence for the hum drum made Ben realise, it was time to form a band! He quickly recruited an old rival, renowned curly headed gobsh*te, Josh Young, and this year they have recruited Ash Vale plumber and nice-to-look-at-topless, Adam Broadbent on drums and are expected to play at some of the UK's most established independent festivals, peppered with the release of several singles. Since 2012 their Oi! Pop stylings have spread across top UK venues, like: The Boileroom, Proud Galleries, Putney Halfmoon, West End Centre, for some of the most respected promoters. Against the odds they were shorted listed for MTV unsigned and have made fans of BBC radio's Tom Robinson, Amazing Radio's Aaron Phillips, Bella Union's Simon Raymonde, and The Huffington Post.
With a Goodsoul DJ set thrown into the mix as well, this is gonna be a great night!!!
