Richard III presented by The Baltimore Shakespeare Factory
The story of a man's lust for power and his ruinous taste for intrigue, Richard III comes to Baltimore this spring to kick off the Baltimore Shakespeare Factory's 2014 Season.
March 28 - April 19 Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm Sundays at 2:00pm Pre-show entertainment begins 30 minutes before showtime (Tickets are exchangeable for any performance during the run)
Set in the waning days of England's War of the Roses--a feud for the throne between the houses of York and Lancaster--Richard III tells the story of Richard, Duke of Gloucester, and his bloody quest for the crown.
As with all Factory productions, Richard III is presented using the staging conditions of Shakespeare's day. Factory productions bring Shakespeare's works to life in a way that is fresh and accessible to modern audiences without compromising the original language. The result is a fun, engaging, and fast-paced show that celebrates the artistry of Shakespeare's language. We call it Uncommon Shakespeare for the Common Man.
