KIKO VENENO- SPANISH CARAVAN MUSIC FESTIVAL 2014
Kiko Veneno, born in Figueres Spain, has a long critically acclaimed career, and 12 collaborative and solo albums to his name. Veneno`s style draws from rock icons like Frank Zappa and Bob Dylan, and the flamenco tradition, creating a rich eclectic sound that has produced legendary numbers such as Volando Voy. In 1975, his encounter with brothers Rafael and Raimundo Amadour changed his life and his music, resulting in the group "Veneno" and a debut album by the same name, now considered an essential disc of Spanish music. He followed this with a collaborative album with the great Camaron de la Isla. His first solo LP "Sere mecanico por ti" was incredibly successful and led to the releases of "Echate un cantecito", "Esta bien eso del carino" and "El Hombre invisible". He collaborated and toured with several well known artists such as Jorge Drexler, pepe begines, Juan Perro, Charlie Cepeda, and Jackson Browne. In 2006 he formed the group G5 along Los Delinqüentes, Tomasito and Muchachito Bombo Infierno. In 2012, Kiko veneno received the National Prize for Contemporary Music for his "decisive contribution for 3 decades to the integration of international music and hispanic music".
