In honor of Women's Herstory Month, join Rock Legends host Bill Shelley as he pays tribute to some of the female musicians who have rocked the American music scene!
Women have not always been welcome in the rock-and-roll world, but despite the odds, female rockers have thrived. Growing out of the margins and into the mainstream, they have gained an unquestionable place at the top of the charts. This special edition of Rock Legends Live highlights the importance of women in the world of popular music, including but not limited to Suzi Quatro, Heart, The Runaways, and Tina Turner. Featuring seminal performances of hits like "Magic Man," "Cherry Bomb," "What's Love Got to Do TURNERthTINAWith It," and the ultimate proclamation jam by Joan Jett "I Love Rock and Roll," this evening of archival footage will fill your eyes and ears with some of America's most exciting rock moments in herstory. The program is packed with lots of rare concert films, television performances, and rarely seen promo films. Clapping and singing along is always encouraged!
