Cinetopia - Kin Flicks 6
Cinetopia ends the Kinflicks season with a an exhilaratingly dysfunctional and very English story. An woman leaves her husband to join an old schoolfriend's well-heeled family at a grand villa in Tuscany. The film catches vividly the torpor of long summer days and hot nights in the company of smug middle-class people who drink too much, have limited interests and don't get along together. The grown-ups enjoy leisurely meals and improving excursions; the OK-yah younger generation whizz around in a little Fiat, trustingly lent by their parents' friends. They drink and fool around by the pool late at night, smoke dope posted to them from the UK in a jiffy bag, and refer contemptuously to their parents' group as the "olds". Don't miss this fascinating, emotionally honest and true to life film.
An evening with Cinetopia includes: - a mystery feature film (you won't know what it is 'til its started), - a two course delicious dinner from the wonderful Hill Station team - a fun quiz that isn't just about film (points mean prizes).
