THE FIFTH ELEMENT, with pre-film intro and talk by Chris Noessel of Make It So
In the colorful future, a cab driver named Korben Dallas unwittingly becomes the central figure in the search for a legendary cosmic weapon to keep Ultimate Evil at bay.
March 18 is director Luc Besson's birthday and the day when Korben wakes up to his galaxy-spanning adventure. It's a great day to watch or rewatch The Fifth Element. This showing is hosted by Chris Noessel, co-author of Make It So: Interaction Lessons from Science Fiction and keeper of the blog scifiinterfaces.com. He'll kick off the event with a short intro discussing some of the wonderful interfaces that appear throughout, and hold a Fifth Element interfaces trivia contest, with prizes includes a copy of the second printing of his book.
