Saturday, 4/5: 230pm Without Lance Bangs.
In 1991, four young musicians from Louisville, KY released, Spiderland, an album of taut, haunting music that spawned a new genre of music: post-rock. Filmmaker Lance Bangs' new film tells the story of the mythically influential band Slint and the music scene from which they emerged. Featuring rare footage of the band, plus interviews with LCD Sound System's James Murphy, Steve Albini, David Yow, Ian MacKaye, Matt Sweeney, and more.
