The Miracle Worker
Deaf and blind due to childhood illness, Helen Keller lives a near feral existence at the hands of her indulgent family. When her behavior becomes unmanageable, the Kellers' hire governess Annie Sullivan to help control their unruly daughter and bring some much-needed peace to the household. Instead, Annie's relentless determination to teach Helen language creates new conflicts that force the Kellers' to reconsider their expectations for their daughter and their attitude towards her affliction. Based on Helen Keller's autobiography, "The Story of My Life."
