Forage, Feast & Fire
Wild Yonder's Pilot "Day Camps" will provide a series of events ranging from homesteading skills to plant identification.
In this premiere event, "Forage, Feast & Fire", campers will partake in a series of explorations, experiments and adventures be lead by regional experts at Beausol Gardens in Pittsboro, NC.
Sarah Vroom of Bountiful Backyards will host a guided hike on medicinal and edible plant identification.
Margaret Porter-Daniel, a regional herbalist will lead a workshop on making healing lotions and salves from forage-able plants.
Scott Richie, Bartender Extraordinaire will be on site mixing up herbal-infused libations.
Dinner will consist of fire-pit baked hobo-packs constructed with fresh, local ingredients and topped with sauces created and provided by Mateo Tapas, Pizzeria Toro and Pie Pushers.
Campfire songs and stories will be lead by Django Haskins of The Old Ceremony.
