Mi Borough: A Carnitas-Centered Meal @ Crow Hill Supper Club
Crow Hill Supper Club is inviting you to close out February in the best way possible: with massive amounts of carnitas! On FRIDAY, February 28th at 7:30PM, Mi Borough @ Crow Hill Supper Club will feature the cooking of James Ramirez, an opening chef at Danny Bowien's new LES restaurant, Mission Cantina.
James is a southern California native who lived in Mexico before attending culinary school in San Francisco. After working as a chef in San Francisco, James moved to Tokyo, where he taught the Mexican cuisine of his youth to Japanese housewives. Only 24 years old, James came to Brooklyn last Fall and began cooking at Mission Cantina.
Now, James is preparing a meal centered around his secret carnitas recipe-- tender pork shoulder braised in lard, beer and milk-- to Crow Hill Supper Club. In addition, James will be preparing a special tamale, a light, citrus salad and flan de cajeta, among other dishes. Tickets also include unlimited Singapore Slings and mezcal!
