San Lorenzo Valley High School and Mountain Community Theater proudly present, "FOOTLOOSE!-The Musical!" directed and choreographed by Amber Walker, with musical direction by Arindam Krishna Das.
The exuberant cast of thirty-four talented teenagers will have you dancing in your seats to the Oscar and Tony-nominated top 40 score, augmented with dynamic new songs for the stage, featuring such hits as "Let's Hear It for the Boy," "Almost Paradise," and the hit title song by Kenny Loggins.
Based on the original hit movie, this high octane rock musical tells the story of Ren, a restless city boy, who moves to a small town where dancing has been banned by the local Reverend in response to a tragedy involving the local youth. With quite a few tongue-in-cheek nods to the campy 80's era, "FOOTLOOSE!-The Musical" celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people, guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind.
