The Good Times are Killing Me
The Good Times Are Killing Me presents the humorous and unlikely friendship between young Edna Arkins and Bonna Willis -- Edna is white and Bonna is black, and from the start there are pressures from both sides against their friendship. Set in 1962, the play explores how the rituals of growing up, the increased racial segregation of rock music and the accelerating civil rights movement all converge on the streets of a changing blue-collar urban neighborhood.
