In partnership with our sponsors and supporters, the Northern California Regional Land Trust is excited to welcome the public to the Deer Creek Preserve to enjoy spring bloom as part of the Take a Hike event series. Led by the Land Trust staff and board of directors, this hike will wind into the interior of the Preserve toward the fish ladder before returning along the same route, offering participants the opportunity to revisit paths less traveled, and to enjoy beautiful canyon views. Visit www.landconservation.org/events to learn more about all of our Take a Hike events!
This is a moderate hike of three to four miles, depending on participant interest, with a few fairly strenuous climbs and one stream crossing on boulders that will be navigable for any sure-footed hiker. Supportive footwear, light clothing layers, sunscreen, a hat, and ample water and snacks are recommended.
Registration is free but is required to participate. Please consider a tax-deductible donation to support future educational events like this one, and the conservation of open spaces and wild places across Northern California!
Suggested Donation: $10 per person

Accessibility
An alternate access route to bypass the creek crossing is available. The majority of the trail is narrow and moderately rocky, with some steep ascents/descents. Wheelchair access would require significant personal assistance. If you have any questions about accessibility, please contact the event organizer to discuss your needs. Wherever possible, accommodations will be made to enable the full participation of anyone who wishes to attend.
