Coffee Symphony: Bach Coffee Cantata and Beethoven Pastoral Symphony
The first production of our 2023 series focusing on music and the environment. J.S. Bach's Coffee Cantata tells a charming story about a father who is worried that his daughter is addicted to coffee.
Beethoven's Symphony no.6 depicts a hike through the woods, including musical depictions of a river, bird song, and a thunderstorm.
Join us after the show for a talk-back focusing on some of the themes in the performance. Representatives from Deeper Roots Coffee and Green Umbrella will discuss coffee, our changing climate, and how it affects our communities and environment.
Coffee Cantata Cast in order of appearance: Narrator: Haksung Lee (Tenor) Schlendrian: Jacob Junbo Zhou (Baritone) Liesgen: Holly Thiemann (Soprano)
