Mustafa's Sweet Dreams

In the small Turkish town of Gaziantep, 16-year-old Mustafa wants to become a master in the art of making baklava. Amidst the strict training regime, Mustafa dreams of a life beyond the confines of the expectations of his friends and family. A lovingly made film that blurs the boundaries between documentary and fiction with a strong poetic sensibility.

Six hidden cameras capture an intimate and original Los Angeles based theater experience in which two audience members watch a 10-minute play performed inside of a car. When the actors suddenly expect the audience to perform, big questions present themselves. Is this simply a case of mistaken identity? Or is the true purpose of theater exposed?
