Blues for the Band

"The Vancouver Rainbow Concert band is a band that is very much about creating that safe haven and a shared space for people to share their love of music. An organization where its ok to be yourself regardless of your sexual orientation, race, beliefs or even age. This is a safe place to express yourself musically, make new friends and be part of a community. Like many arts groups, it can be a struggle to make ends meet from rehearsal space rental, storage for music and equipment, purchasing of new music, instruments or even repairing existing instruments, the costs add up. So this year, we'd like to throw our hat on, grab our horns and create some noise with a goal of helping them meet some of these costs."

Featuring: Chris Thornley, Dave Gilbert, Brian Linnitt, Jim DeKleer, Bill Kudenchuk, Brent Scofield, Angela Clark, plus special guests. A benefit for the Rainbow Concert Band, all proceeds go to Canada's only LGBTQ Concert Band.

Thursday, February 27, 2014 at The Fan Club, 1050 Granville Street in downtown Vancouver. Music starts at 7pm.
