RCW is proud to present The Cuban Maestro, Fito Reinoso & His Clasicos De Cuba to launch its 2014 Island Arts Concert series. Fito and his band, Los Clasicos de Cuba, have entertained audiences from Yoshi's to the San Francisco and San Jose Jazz Festivals. A major force in the Bay Area Latin Music scene for over a decade, Fito performs a variety of styles from urban Havana grooves to timba to the classic son, mambo, rumba and cha-cha-cha. Fito has played with Cuban legends including Francisco Aguabella, Armando Peraza, Carlos Patato Valdez and Israel Cachao Lopez. The evening kicks off with a beginner dance lesson at 7:30pm with Salsa with Rebecca.
