Sticks and Stones
This is a true story about a fourteen year old girl named Emma who is bullied by her classmates; classmates whom she has grown up with who pretend to be her friends. Emma has a crush on a girl named Alice. Even though Alice is not a bully, she is a bystander. Teachers and adults are present during these heartless incidents, but no one takes charge to intervene. Although her big sister, Sam, does what she can to help, it is to no avail.
