Overruled
Two couples taking a holiday from their respective spouses discover that they have accidentally swapped spouses in their adulterous affairs! Overruled is a funny exploration of the world of marriage.
Angeli Primlani (Director) is the Artistic Director and founding member of Accidental Shakespeare and directed Accidental's The Tempest. She is a playwright, director, actress, and musician. Before she joined the Accidentals, she worked with Rasaka Theater Company in Chicago, with Playmakers Repertory Company, UNC's Memorial Hall, and the Lost Colony in her native North Carolina, and in Europe for Misery Loves Company and Puchmeyer in Prague, Czech Republic. She was a 2009 3Arts Ragdale Fellow for theater arts.
Chris Aruffo (Mr. Juno) is an artistic associate of Accidental Shakespeare who performed as Prospero in The Tempest. He is an acting teacher, vocal performer and dialect coach and performs regularly for Provision Theater in Chicago. Chris holds an MFA in Acting from the University of Florida and is completing a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology.
Laurie Lister (Mrs. Juno) is a guest artist with Accidental Shakespeare and has had the pleasure of working with Sherry Legare on Ravenscroft at Triton College directed by Adrianne Cury. Laurie has trained at the Acting Studio and The Artistic Home, where she was an understudy for Tea and Sympathy as well performed in Cut to the Chase. Laurie is currently filming A Very Busy Man.
Gary Henderson (Mr. Juno) is a guest artist with Accidental Shakespeare and has worked with them before as Trinculo in The Tempest. Gary has been seen in El Stories: Holiday Train with the Waltzing Mechanics, Julius Caesar with Muse of Fire, and Much Ado About Nothing at Gorilla Tango. He is a 2011 graduate from the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film in Lincoln, Nebraska and performed with the Great River Shakespeare Festival in their apprentice production of King Lear (Oswald) and understudied for Midsummer Night's Dream (Demetrius).
Sherry Legare (Mrs. Lunn) is the Managing Director and founding member of Accidental Shakespeare. Training credits include the Gately-Poole Conservatory, Shakespeare & Company, Sedona Shakespeare, SITI Company and the Actors Movement Studio. She has worked with Two Pence Shakespeare, Muse of Fire, and Red Tape. Sherry holds a bachelors in theatre from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Overruled is our second production of the 2014 season that explores erotic love. All proceeds generated from this three day performance event will go towards Accidental Shakespeare's second MainStage show Macbeth, which will open at The Side Project in the fall of 2014.
