The Good Life: with Dr. Stuart Brown, author of 'Play: How it Shapes Our Brains, Opens the Imagination and Invigorates the Soul'
Set in Tom Douglas' fabulous Palace Ballroom, The Good Life events are highlighted by an onstage conversation and interview with the author, led by Warren Etheredge of The Warren Report, followed by a lively audience question and answer period. Appetizers and a copy of the featured book are included for each attendee. A cash bar is available, and the evening ends with a Theo Chocolate confection.
Dr. Stuart Brown, a psychiatrist, has spent decades studying animal and human "play", and his research proves that play is essential to our skills of adaptability, intelligence, creativity, problem solving and more. Aside from being fun, play's benefits have profound implications for child development, education, social policy and even the future of our society. Play might, in fact, be the most important work we can ever do. Come and learn how to add more "play" to your life, as outlined in Dr. Brown's new book 'Play: How it Shapes our Brains, Opens the Imagination and Invigorates the Soul'.
This amazing new series, The Good Life, has been created by Kim Ricketts/Book Events and The Warren Report, and is supported by sponsorship from Bastyr University, Tom Douglas Restaurants, Theo Chocolate, Conscious Choice/Seattle and Lush Life Floral.
