Teresa Tudury & Ira Marlowe: Glaser Center Showcase Concert
As comfortable with humor as with harmony, Teresa Tudury and Ira Marlowe are both stellar solo performers whose original songs are tightly crafted gems of wry observation and hilariously spot-on woodcraft. Described as a cross between Bette Midler and Bonnie Raitt (L.A. Weekly), Tudury has a sultry voice and a smooth bluesy way with a guitar, and fast-rising Marlowe has been compared to a young Tom Waits. This intimate concert, the Glaser's fourth in its annual Showcase Concert series, brings you up close and personal to two of the Bay Area's finest songwriting performers. And yes, there will be pie.
