See Westport actress, Kimberly Wilson share historical reflections from an African Queen, A Slave Girl, Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Rosa Parks, Maya Angelou and more. Through movement, character transformations and deeply spiritual singing, Ms. Wilson will share in a way we all can learn and celebrate. To celebrate February as Black History Month and March as Women's History Month, Kimberly has been producing her one-woman show "A JOURNEY" at the Theatre Artists Workshop in East Norwalk, CT since 2008. She also began touring her one-woman show for schools and theaters locally and nationally. Crowned Miss Black Minnesota in 1984, Kimberly has appeared in numerous Minnesota theaters; At the Foot of the Mountain, Brass Tacks Theater, Illusion Theater, Minnesota Festival Theatre, Mixed Blood Theatre, Park Square Theater, Theatre in the Round, Penumbra Theatre, and the old Shoestring Playhouse, to name a few. Ms. Wilson also was the on-air, co-producer of a radio program called GRACENOTES at KMOJ-FM.
