GOING FOR THE GUT: A STORYTELLING WORKSHOP (1 DAY)
You're up on stage at the Moth sharing how a bout of amnesia helped you fall for your ex a second time. Let essayist and three time Moth Grand Slam Winner Cole Kazdin share her tips for finding the story that only you can tell. In this one day class, you'll learn how to generate gripping story ideas, find your first line, and hone the structure through playful writing exercises. By the end of the class, you'll have written the beginnings of an unforgettable story that you could tell in one of LA's many storytelling shows, such as The Moth, Sit-n-Spin, Taboo Tales, or Risk. A call from Ira Glass to follow.
