Double EE - The Best in Oregon chEEse and bEEr!
Sunday, March 16th, 10:00 AM to 2:00PM under the big top at the Oregon Cheese Festival, Central Point Oregon!
Experience Double EE, a friendly cheese and beer competition that challenges cheese makers and brew masters to create great tastes together. A three judge panel will select the winners with the help of 75 members of the public. A maximum team number of 10 will be set for the first year. The prize is bragging rights and a TBD (likely totally useless and gawdy) prize for each winner. Tickets are $50 per audience member, includes a commemorative glass, cheese and beer tasting and pairing classes, and delectable food and drink. Creameries and breweries may be a part of more than one team, but only one submission per team.
Steve Jones: cheese judge, international champion cheesemonger, and well known beer guy will educate the audience in the basic principles of cheese tasting and judging. Janet Fletcher: Award winning Author, critically acclaimed food writer, cheese judge, and author of Beer and Cheese will educate the audience in beer tasting and pairing to help everyone get focused on their tasting mission.
