Thermally Broken Steel and High Performance Products
This program will outline the benefits of using Thermally Broken Steel and high performance products in lieu of cold rolled steel and/or non-thermally broken products to meet California's new (CEC) performance requirements scheduled to begin July 1, 2014.
Learning Objectives:
1.What is considered to be a cold rolled steel or non-thermally broken product.
2.How does a non- thermally broken product affect a projects performance and willnon thermally broken steel products meet the new CEC requirements effective July 1, 2014
3.What is considered to be a thermal break, what kinds of thermal breaks are available, and can you install units by attaching through the thermal break.
4.How do thermally broken products meet the new CEC requirements going into effect July 1, 2014?

Eric Battles represents a collaborative between Northstar Woodworks in Washington state and Jada Metals of California. He is a seasoned fenestration and construction professional, who prior to accepting the position built several successful companies in the Design-Build / Fenestration arena focusing on Southern California's custom building and high-end, made-to-order Window and Door market.
A small sample of the products he's familiar with include: Thermally Broken Steel, Tilt-Balanced Openings, Custom Wood, Wood-Clad and Bronze-Clad products with Western & European profiling such as; Tilt-Turns, Pivots, Window Wall systems and Over Sized units.
Having owned a luxury window and door dealership and development company founded in 1987, he offers a unique blend of hands-on experience when seeking solutions and options for your fenestration needs and has the attention-to-detail that Architects, Builders and Designers require.
Additionally, his experience as a, "Certified Installation Master" allows a better approach to foresee, consult and solve issues before they become problems which lends itself well to any project.
It's his sincere goal that the collaboration between Northstar and Jada Metals will help broaden your design possibilities.
