2nd Annual Old-Time Tidal Wave
From the folks that brought you Foghorn Stringband last April, YOMADA and the Victoria Bluegrass Association are excited to present The Second Annual Old-Time Tidal Wave. Together we bring mentors, instructors and musicians from across the Pacific Northwest together with Vancouver Island's own. It's a not-for-profit 2-day festival, produced by two passionate Victoria, BC based associations.
The Tidal Wave starts Friday, March 28th at 7:00pm. Join us for a concert at St. Andrew's Church featuring music from...
Twin Bandit The Cumberland Brothers Squirrel Butter with the Hi-O Revelers
Expect more music on Saturday and lots of dancing!
Come for brunch at Logan's Pub and stay for the music. It's a Bluegrass Brunch featuring some of Victoria's finest, as well as some out-of-town special guests.
After brunch, check out one of our seminars. We're offering four seminars at the Fernwood Community Centre:
Old-Time Fiddle with Devin Champlin Banjo with Charlie Beck Singing with Twin Bandit Old-Time Guitar with Katy Harris
The big dance is happening at Kirk Hall. Not to be missed.
We're really excited to have Paul Silveria from Vancouver calling a Kid's Square Dance at 7:00pm. Kids under 12 free! This is going to be a whole lot of fun.
Then we have more square dancing with three different callers teaching you the moves on the spot and music from the YOMADA House Stringband, Squirrel Butter and The Hi-O Revelers.
And last but not least... late-night couples dancing to some good ol' honky tonk music.
