Homegrown Coffeehouse continues its 40th season on Saturday, April 22, with longtime fan favorite, Garnet Rogers. Garnet is a powerful performer, in physical presence, with a voice to match.
With his dark baritone, his incredible range and thoughtful, dramatic phrasing, he creates music that is literate, passionate, and deeply purposeful. Garnet sings extraordinary songs about people who are not obvious heroes and of the small victories of the everyday. Cinematic in detail, his songs give expression to the unspoken vocabulary of the heart. As memorable as his songs, his over-the-top humor and lightning-quick wit moves his audience from tears to laughter and back again.
