OBX International Women's Day-March 8

Our event will be held on Saturday, March 8 at Avenue Grille, located in downtown Manteo. Donations accepted, but also, please join us for dinner! A view of special menu items can be found at http://avenueeventsobx.com/Int_Women_s_Day.html Pricing for meal levels includes your tax and gratuity.

Doors open at 5pm, the program begins at 6pm. Please come early and enjoy viewing the winning entrees of the Dare County Art's Council's 'International Women's Day Exhibit.' We begin our program at 6pm with a documentary provided by the Virginia Dare Business and Professional Women's Club. Title "Business and Professional Women: A History, A Movement. (TM)"

Our keynote speaker for this event is Ms. Carmen Hooker Odom. Ms. Odom is the former Secretary of the NC Department of Health and Human Services, were she served from 2001-2007, and President of the Millbank Memorial Fund from 2007-2013. Ms Odom is currently the Adviser to the President of the Milbank Memorial Fund.

Donations raised during this event will be given to the Dare County Arts Council to sponsor specific artistic programs for women and girls
And
The Virginia Dare Business and Professional Women's Club Scholarship fund to support women over 25 returning to school.
