ROY ZIMMERMAN: The Blue Dot Tour: Tuesday, March 11th at 7pm
Zimmerman says, "Satire is the gift that keeps on giving hell." His shows are pointed and poignant, hilarious and heartfelt.
The San Francisco Chronicle says, "Roy Zimmerman has a rare gift for songwriting." The Marin Independent Journal describes him as "Bobby Kennedy meets Bobby Dylan." And Sing Out! Magazine says, "Zimmerman is a guy on the left skewering folks on the right with rapier-sharp lyrics ... underneath the caustic satire is a man who is surprisingly optimistic."
- The Los Angeles Times says, "Zimmerman displays a lacerating wit and keen awareness of society's foibles that bring to mind a latter-day Tom Lehrer."
- Tom Lehrer himself says, "I congratulate Roy Zimmerman on reintroducing literacy to comedy songs. And the rhymes actually rhyme, they don't just 'rhyne.'"
- Joni Mitchell says, "Roy's lyrics move beyond poetry and achieve perfection."
With a "pay what you can" price structure, we can fill the seats at OCUUC and have a great time!
