The North Seattle French School was founded by a group of parents to fulfill the need for a bilingual French program in the North Seattle area. Our mission is to nurture and educate young minds to become capable independent thinkers and contribute as global citizens of the future. We offer a rigorous academic program that fosters social and emotional skills and critical thinking as well as physical and emotional awareness through arts, music, dance and extensive outdoor play in both French and English. The curriculum is based on the internationally-recognized program created by the French Ministry of Culture and incorporates the best of US styles of creative thinking and problem-solving. Located on Phinney Ridge, we use venues such as the Farmers market, local parks and the Woodland Park Zoo as an outdoor classroom and plan several field trips throughout the year.
