The Homecoming by Harold Pinter
THE HOMECOMING is an award winning play written in 1964 by Nobel laureate Harold Pinter. The play is concerned with the return of Teddy, a professor of philosophy at an American college, to the North London house occupied by his father, uncle, brothers, all of whom operate on the fringes of working-class society, some distance from respectability. Teddy is accompanied by his wife Ruth who then finds herself at the center of a series of "Pinteresque" power-struggles. Reminiscent of the raw claustrophobic work of THE SOPRANO'S, language at its most visceral conveys what is unspoken.
Off Broadway West Theatre Company is thrilled to announce that we were nominated for six San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critic Circle awards for our second season. The winners will be announced within three weeks. Our first season earned us seven nominations and one win.
