What We Talk About When We Talk About Food: An Evening with Seattle Writers
On April 28th, join us at Tom Douglas' Palace Ballroom for an event we are calling 'What We Talk About When We Talk About Food: An Evening with Seattle Writers'. The marvelous Maggie Dutton will be leading a conversation with: - Matthew Amster-Burton, author of 'Hungry Monkey: A Food Loving Father's Quest to Raise an Adventurous Eater' - Shauna Ahern, author of 'Gluten Free Girl: How I Learned to Love the Food That Loves Me Back' - Molly Wizenberg, author of 'A Homemade Life: Stories and Recipes From My Kitchen Table' - Kathleen Flinn, author of 'The Sharper the Knife, the Less You Cry: Love Laughter and Tears in Paris at the World's Most Famous Cooking School' -Erica Bauermeister, author of 'The School of Essential Ingredients' All of these authors will read a bit from their books or current work-in-progress, and then we can all join the conversation and consider the many reasons we seek to tell our stories through food. It should be a fun, lively and delicious night, with all kinds of appetizers and a specialty cocktail of the night, for $25 per person. Plus, there will be a no-host bar, and all of the books available for purchase and signing.
